Service Description
Let me take care of all the arrangements and be your private guide. No matter what you want to see, cities or mountains, highlights or hidden gems, and no matter what you'd like to experience from cheese making to wine tasting, hiking and popping into mountain huts, riding the gondolas and funiculars, I know my way around every corner of Switzerland and will be happy to customize an itinerary that will speak to your private group's wants and wishes. Of course you will have me with you throughout the tour as your private guide and I can adapt to any requests and customize any experience that you wish. Price is for a the full day (10hrs) tour. For these tours I advise you to get in touch as much in advance as possible so we can get the conversation going and I can offer you the best possible itinerary with as many options as you like. All travel is done by train (the train network in Switzerland is second to none) and you have me to navigate you throughout the day. Traveling this way is 100% sustainable and efficient as all electricity powering the train network is hydroelectric. I speak 4 languages: English, Italian and Spanish fluently, French conversational and just enough German to get by. My area of specialty is in the mountains, as they are so easily accessible with all the different gondolas, railways and funiculars, it's often incredible to behold the views from the top. It's incredibly important to check the weather, have a plan B and generally know how to navigate the reservation system to ensure the most from your mountain excursion. I'm also happy to lead your group on short panoramic hikes if that's on your bucket list.
Cancellation Policy
Tour Policy We’re thrilled to share the hidden corners and stories of our city with you. To ensure your experience is smooth, safe, and enjoyable, please take a moment to read our tour policy before booking. 1. Booking & Payment All hikes are private tours, tailored exclusively for your group. Full payment is required at the time of booking to reserve your date. We accept Swiss Francs (CHF) and Euros (EUR). Prices include the guided tour and all listed inclusions. Gratuities for a job well done are always appreciated but never expected. 2. Cancellations & Refunds 7 days or more before the tour: 100% refund. Less than 7 days before the tour: Non-refundable. In case of a documented medical emergency, refund requests will be considered individually. No-shows or late arrivals are treated as cancellations and are non-refundable. If the guide must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund or may reschedule at no extra cost. 3. Weather Policy Tours operate rain or shine — Zurich’s beauty doesn’t stop for the weather! Please dress appropriately: comfortable layers, good-tread shoes (no flip-flops), and a waterproof jacket if rain is expected. In rare cases of extreme or unsafe weather (e.g. severe storms or heavy ice), we will contact you to reschedule or, if rescheduling isn’t possible, issue a refund. 4. Safety & Liability All participants must sign a Liability Waiver before the hike begins. Participants are responsible for judging their own physical condition and ensuring they are capable of completing the route. Your guide may adjust the route or pace to maintain group safety. Zurich Urban Hikes assumes no responsibility for injuries, loss, or accidents arising from non-compliance with safety instructions, weather conditions, or personal negligence. 5. Participant Guidelines Arrive on time at the agreed meeting point. Bring a refillable water bottle, dress in layers, and wear comfortable shoes suitable for cobblestone streets and stairs. Children are welcome on most hikes if accompanied by an adult - please confirm suitability when booking. Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please mention this at time of booking. 6. Changes & Rescheduling Minor itinerary adjustments may occur due to local events, construction, or weather. Whenever possible, we’ll inform you in advance and offer equivalent alternatives.
